Coronavirus Response

Dear Church Family,

As events continue to unfold around COVID-19, it is a reminder that we live in a fallen world.  It helps us remember that this world is not our home, and our true citizenship is in heaven.  While that gives us great comfort, it also reminds us that there are people in this world who are far from God.

I hope you will listen to the sermon online this week, as we continue our journey through Colossians. I am excited to preach the text from Colossians 1. This week you can do more than listen—we have video of the sermon.  Please look for the sermon to be posted online by Sunday morning, MARCH 22.  A big THANK YOU to the dedicated technology team that has help make that improvement happen.  Our church is as big as the internet, and that is an exciting opportunity for us.  We continue to seek improvements and ways to use technology to help us worship and preach the good news of the gospel. We will keep you informed as to things we will be trying in the future to minister to our church family using methods available to us.

In the meantime, here are a few things we as a church family should be doing:

1. We can Pray–Please pray for our President, our nation’s leaders and our state and local governments who all have difficult decisions ahead of them. Pray also for doctors, medical personnel, first responders and researchers as they navigate this very fluid situation.

2. We can help our Community—We are working to find ways that our church family can help those who are most severely affected by this dangerous issue. Stay tuned to the website and our social media so you can see ways where you can help and serve in ways that are a blessing and not a danger to you or the people we’re trying to help. We are being both courageous and wise in our approach and the situation changes daily, so stay posted and stay ready to help.

3. We can Give–Let’s stay faithful in our giving. We need your tithes, gifts, and offerings to do the daily work of the church and to help our communities during this time of need. We still have to pay the bills and fulfill obligations. You may visit here to give online, or mail your gift to the church.

A.W Tozer once wrote, “.A frightened world needs a fearless church.”  This is our moment.  I am encouraged as I think this entire crisis could lead to an Awakening for Christ and His glorious Church. Let’s Live Jesus & Give Jesus like never before.

You are loved!

We are all facing new challenges.  Please let us know how we can serve you.

Your gifts continue to support the daily work of the church and help our community.
