Youth Group (NRYG)

NRYG Wednesday Night Gatherings
The youth group meets on Wednesday evenings at 7pm in the youth room (room 202, upstairs) at NRCOC for worship, Bible study, and fellowship! Join us and get connected!
NRYG Game Nights
Once or twice a month, our youth group meets at NRCOC on a Friday night to hang out, play games, have fun, and eat some snacks! Check the calendar for the next event!
In February, NRYG joins thousands of teens from other churches in Gatlinburg, TN for Winterfest, a weekend Christian youth conference featuring dynamic speakers, supercharged worship, and great entertainment.
Bible Camps
In the summer, many of our teens spend a week or two at Bible camp. NRYG teens visit both Palmetto Bible Camp, typically 4th week, which is directed by our minister, Kent Massey, and Carolina Bible Camp, typically 6th week.
Serve Raleigh
Each Summer, NRYG participates in a local community service projects around the city of Raleigh.
Mission Madison County
In partnership with Friendly Avenue Church of Christ in Greensboro, NC, NRYG takes a summer mission trip to Madison County, NC, where teens spend one week serving families in need.
In September, NRYG joins youth groups in the southeast region of the United States for a weekend youth conference in Myrtle Beach, SC. Restore includes great speakers, engaging worship, and fun fellowship for all at the beach!

Ladies’ Ministry

Do you ever wish for a safe place to grow in friendship with women who struggle just as much as you do? Well, that’s exactly the vision we have for our Ladies’ Ministry at North Raleigh Church of Christ. We are a group of women trying our best to love, support, encourage, and strengthen one another as we “do life” together.
There are many ways our ladies join together to learn and server one another and our community.  Among them are:

We meet every Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm for a Bible Study.   CLICK HERE for more information about our current study and how to join.   This has become a special time of learning, support and encouragement as we share the stories of our lives, both our joys and our hurts, and grow together in Biblical understanding.  We’d love for you to become a part of our group!

Regular Events
The recent pandemic, of course, has forced us to alter many of our regular events, but as we emerge from the necessary restrictions on activities, we are making plans to once again:
          • Host an annual outreach event.
          • Host an annual ladies’ beach retreat entitled “Sisters at the Beach” for women 21 or older.
          • Host an annual retreat for our girls ages 16 – 20 at Kerr Lake.
          • Host an annual tea party for ladies of all ages.

Children’s Ministry (NR KIDS)

We are now offering Sunday morning children’s classes on Zoom.  Please click here for more information!
The programs below are currently suspended:
Sunday Morning Nursery
We offer a fully staffed nursery for babies, toddlers, and preschool children age newborn – 3 years.
Sunday Morning Kings Kids
Preschool children age 3 – 5 are invited to join us during the service for their own special class and worship experience!
Sunday Morning Jr. Worship
Kids K – 5th grade join us during the service for your own supercharged, dynamic worship experience!
Wednesday Evening Bible Class
On Wednesday evenings at 7pm, we offer a Bible class for kids of all ages!
We currently use D6 curriculum for NRKids! D6 empowers parents, home, marriages, teachers and churches to live out the story of Deuteronomy 6 (love God, love His Word, teach your children to do the same). The average student gets only one hour a week in discipleship—we say (as does Scripture), “It’s not enough!” D6 Curriculum gives solid lessons for teaching students how to make wise biblical decisions about everyday life. It further helps parents (and grandparents) reinforce lessons while at home, by providing weekly tools to help families. Weekly Home Connection sheets feature family readings, guidance for prayer, and two suggestions for family activities that explore the week’s Jr. Worship theme!
Compassion International
Our NRKids sponsor a child via Compassion International! Isai is 6 years old and lives in Honduras. Isai lives with his parents, likes chicken with rice, likes to sing, his favorite color is red, and he has a little turtle named Joddy. Our NRKids sponsorship provides Bible studies, Sunday school, health screenings, supplemental food, and more!
Background Checks
All NRKids volunteers submit to background checks before volunteering.
